Splashing around in the swimming pool or on an inflatable swinging on the waves, does everyone at your home love holidays by the water? Without water, summer would not have the right magic, and so the Kaufland Children’s Festival will fully immerse itself in it, closing its popular summer tour of Slovak cities with its last stop in Liptovský Mikuláš. How about enjoying the last day of vacation here and tuning in on August 31st to a wave of fun that even Captain Nemo would envy?
Children will become firefighters, ship captains and sailors
Kaufland is celebrating its 25th anniversary, Liptovská Mara has blown out fifty candles on its surface, and it is clear that celebrations are coming up here, where instead of confetti, water droplets will start flying, a good portion of foam will be thrown, and the biggest gift will be unforgettable experiences.
Kaufland Children’s Festival will open its water world in Liptovský Mikuláš on the last Sunday of August, where really big things will happen on the Liberators‘ Square. Children will transform into divers and firefighters, they will become ship captains and water rescuers. Like true sailors, they can make their own paper boats with their parents, have fun with water quizzes or trivia, or get in shape with sports activities. Kaufík and the magician Talostan are already waiting for them to jump in a sack together, ride on balance bikes or scooters. The older edition will feature Aquaman and Vodník performed by acrobats Dominik Souhrad and Michal Barbier, who will teach them real parkour tricks.
Cinema, cake and star faces on stage
The little ones will enjoy Kaufík’s wooden carousel, as well as an open-air cinema, where fairy tales from Turbo TV will be screened during the day . If you get hungry during the day, you can taste Slovak delicacies from the KZ private label Love for Tradition in the Craft Town. And when the smell of korbáčik and oštiepki begins to spread through the square, you will know that something special is about to happen. In the company of the famous confectioner Petra Tóthová, an exceptional cheese cake will be served, prepared by Viliam Bajzik and Julka Ovšáková.
But be careful, the biggest waterfall of surprises awaits visitors to the Kaufland Children’s Festival on stage. Presenters Veronika Hatala and Milan „Junior“ Zimnýkoval will guide you through the festival program to start a flood of festival fun. Fíha Tralala, Smejko s Tanculienkou or Vodníkovci from the Zábavka Theater will get even those little ones who have only been anchored on the shore, Cimbalkovo will stir up a good mood in the audience with Slovak songs and when Alan Murin or Kali s Peter Pann take the helm on stage, they will take you full steam ahead to the stormy sea of summer hits. With her concert, the popular Kristína will pour a flood of living water onto the square, which will be the most beautiful point after the holidays.
